How to get to Poros!

You can visit Poros either by car or by ferry. There is on duty a ferry connection Poros - Galatas with both ferries and traditional boats. If you want, you can leave your car in the parking of Galata. In any case prefer to move to the island of Poros with the public transportation, on foot or by traditional boats helping to preserve the traditional character of the island.

By car from Athens

• Follow the National Road Athens - Corinth
• In Isthmus you follow the exit "Corinth Exit B' - Epidavros"
• After 30 minutes you will see the cafe - restaurant "Stork" in your left hand
• Shortly after you reach the exit for Poros - Spetses - Galata - Trachea
• Go right at the exit and immediately below the bridge go left
• In the small square right uphill to the S/M "Vassilopoulos"
• You will see on your left hand mobile phone masts
• At 1 km., follow the left exit to Poros - Galatas
• The distance from Elefsina toll is 141 km
• Total journey time 2.5 hours max

By boat from Piraeus

From the port of Piraeus Ferry Boats depart daily for Poros. The journey time is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

From the port of Piraeus flying dolphins and Catamaran depart daily.
The journey time is from 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on the type of ship.
