The Noble Olive
Experience Authentic Greece!
The spotlight of this adventure will be the Greek Olive. During your stay, you will enjoy much of your time at Odyssey’s organic farm amongst the olive trees, just across the channel. Your focus will be on the entire olive picking process. You will harvest, sort, visit the processing factory and indulge in the green, golden olive oil from the olives you have picked.
One day during your holiday, you will make lunch from the hand-picked vegetables from their garden and be served in their open-door kitchen next to the olive grove right by the sea. On another day, Katerina will open her kitchen at Odyssey for her world renowned cooking class where you will make delightful dishes with your olive oil and enjoy that evening for dinner for Greek Night! Greek Night has always been such a joy for my clients with the beautiful live music, the flowing wine, the meal, all on the terrace under the stars. On another night after harvesting, there will be a small party with a fabulous wine tasting of local wines that will be sure to please!
Another treat during your time away, you will visit the picturesque Island of Hydra, on a guided tour. You will travel by boat to this quaint island where there are no motorized vehicles and the views are stunning. Maybe you will want to take your swimsuit for a dive off the rocks or shop the many boutiques. Don’t forget your camera!
But what about Poros? There will be plenty of time to enjoy the sun and the sea on one of her amazing beaches. You can rent a quad to tour the island, ride to the harbor and explore the many shops and tavernas and climb to the Clock Tower for stunning views.
On Monday morning, you will pack up and travel to Athens by coach. You will travel over the Corinth Canal which is jaw-dropping. Upon arrival in Athens, you will be taken to your hotel which is located in the heart of the Greek capital near the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, the Plaka, and the King’s Gardens.
On Monday in the midday, you will visit the Parthenon, the world famous Acropolis Museum, the ruins of the Temple of Athena, the Propylaea and the Erechthyon with lunch at the Museum. The evening is free for you to explore Greece’s capital once more and maybe catch a performance at the Irodeon Attikhs, the theatre right under the Acropolis.
So many people have inquired about this fantastic hands-on holiday and I am so delighted to offer it to you now. Please join me for this experience, as I and the entire Odyssey staff, will welcome you with warm smiles and amazing hospitality. You will never forget Poros and the new family you will make on Poros.
