Let’s island hop to the Cyclades! This is a new holiday offered by Meraki Expeditions and we are beyond excited! Pack your bags and join us for this two week trip to three stunning Greek Islands.
Upon arrival in Greece, you will be escorted to beautiful and hospitable Poros, where you will stay for 6 nights at everyone’s favorite, Odyssey Suites. You will walk with a guide through the quaint village of Poros and immerse yourself in the deep history of the island. You will hop over to the island of Hydra on another day and take a renowned Greek cooking class on another. Do you love to explore on your own? There is time! Rent a scooter and enjoy the island’s landscape and beautiful beaches. You will also be welcomed at an organic olive farm for a spectacular greek bbq, right next to the sea, an experience you will never forget!
Your second week in Greece will take you to two of the amazing cycladic islands! You will fly from Athens to gorgeous Milos for 4 nights with its dramatic coastline, full of colorful and surreal rock formations, emerald beaches and quaint villages. Make sure you bring your camera to photograph these beautiful landscapes from your chartered boat! You will enjoy a walking tour through Milos old town where you will see the ancient walls and catacombs. The colorful island with its white washed architecture will absolutely take your breath away!
Now it is time to go to the island of Sifnos! As you pull up to Sifnos from the short ferry ride, it looks like a fairy tale, as the island is dotted with cubic whitewashed houses. Famous for its long tradition in pottery dated back from the early cycladic period, you will have the opportunity to pick a piece (or two) to take home with you. You will learn about the architecture and the history of this quaint island on a road trip to important villages that were hidden to protect from pirate attacks. Spend your free time tasting authentic dishes such as revithada, mastelo, revithokeftedes and melopita during your 3 night stay.
To top it all off, you will spend your last night in the beautiful and lively city of Athens!
