Olive Picking Week 2026 – A Taste of True Greece
Meraki Expeditions and Odyssey Activities invite you to enjoy a refined, yet wonderfully authentic Autumn escape in Greece. As summer gently fades and the land prepares for winter, you’ll take part in one of the country’s most cherished traditions: the Olive Harvest.
Set at the end of October, this carefully curated culinary week blends hands-on experiences, local culture, and relaxed Mediterranean living. Together with fellow guests and a few locals, you will harvest olives in our private olive orchard, home to approximately 300 olive trees of varying ages and sizes. Surrounded by nature and warm Greek hospitality, this is an experience that feels both grounding and indulgent.
Throughout the week, you’ll discover the fascinating journey from olive to oil. We’ll share the rich cultural history of the olive tree, guide you through traditional harvesting methods, and then invite you to take part yourself. For three or four days, you will join the harvest, and on the final picking day, we will visit a local olive press, where the olives you picked are transformed into the famous “liquid gold” — fresh, fragrant olive oil. There is much more included in this fantastic trip that everyone’s loves!
